About EPRI Research into Elevated Neutral-to-Earth Voltage, Contact Voltage, and Other Perceptibility Concerns for Humans and Animals

The EPRI Contact and Stray Voltage Assessment project is a supplemental project of Program 1, Power Quality (the description of the supplemental project can be downloaded at at the Member Center).

The project has three important learning objectives, all targeted at moving the power industry to the most up-to-date level of knowledge and understanding of stray and contact voltage. These three areas include:

  • Technology
  • Knowledge base
  • Investigations and workshops

Utilities with field investigators who work on stray and contact voltage complaints and remediation.
